Sunday Worship
Each week we make it a priority to gather (virtually or in-person) together for a joint time of praise and worship. We believe all generations and life stages are vital to the health of the church. In worship, we set aside our personal preferences and differences to be united under the name of Jesus Christ. Through song, prayer, times of silence, moments of lament and the hearing of God’s word we are transformed. All who come are invited to be participants, that we might all be sent back out into our homes, neighborhoods, schools and workplaces to take the love of Christ to the community of Derby and beyond.
Pre-Service Connection Time (9:30AM)
Food and coffee are provided before our worship gathering to allow people to reconnect with one another or to meet someone for the first time and have a conversation.
Kids
All life stages are an important part of the life of the church. Children are welcome to participate in the larger worship service as much as parents are comfortable with.
Ages Newborn-2 yrs may join the nursery that is available from the start of the service. Nursery is available every Sunday.
Ages PreK-5th grade may join either the pre-k or elementary age children’s church that takes place during the sermon portion of worship. Children’s church is being offered on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday of the month. On the 1st Sunday of the month we invite our preK-5th grade students to stay in the sanctuary for the whole service.
Students 6th grade and older are invited to join their parents, peers and the rest of their church family in the main worship gathering.
